My name is Jacob Clifford and I am an Advanced Placement Economics teacher and College Board Consultant from San Diego, California. I teach government, AP Microeconomics,  and AP Macroeconomics  to seniors at San Pasqual High School in Escondido. We have one of the largest and most successful AP Economics programs in the state.

I was born and raised in Escondido and attended SPHS when I was in high school. It is great to be back as a teacher! After I graduated in 1995, I went to University of Illinois and earned my degree and teaching credential from California State University, San Marcos. In the spring of 2011, I earned a Masters Degree in Economic Education from the University of Delaware. For more details, see my current resume.

I have been teaching at SPHS since 2004 and I have been blessed with some of the most intelligent, talented, and fun-loving students in the world. I am an AP Exam grader in economics and I became a College Board Consultant in 2007. I lead several one-day and week-long workshops each year. In 2004, I developed AP Boot Camp, a interactive skill-building program that prepares students for the rigor of Advanced Placement classes. Since 2009 I have been making YouTube videos to help students understand economic concepts. I have had tons of positive feedback and started offering digital resources to help teachers and students. I’ve been married for 11 years and I live in Rancho Bernardo with my beautiful wife, Paula, and our five awesome kids: Lindsey, David, James, Avery, and Jessie. We go to church every Sunday and I know that Jesus Christ in our Savior.
